Thursday

My pampered chef items have come in really handy. I love the chip maker and have been making them by the dozen. However, I also made a cheese souffle, and I have never made anything like that before. Then I made some orange zest muffins that were delicious. Here are some photos to commiserate the event.

Work Out Wednesday

Get myself into gear, since the first 5K by biscuits have not been flapping in the breeze and it is time to get in gear again. I went to a leadership meeting at the CDA conference and she said to remind yourself of what you want. She put a sticky note on her chair that said, "Skinny rear will part here." My is going to say Tiny waist will twirl here. Hopefully it will help remind me to stay focused instead of getting that treat.

High Maintenance Fish

My son came home with beetles, I said, "No, No, NO."
He came home with a worm and I said, "No, NO, NO."
Next he came with fish, and I said, "YES, YEs, YES."
Tell I found out they were high maintenance fish and then I tried to say, "No, No, No!

These are black light sensitive fish. We have lost two of them, but the pink one seems to be hanging in there. What fun.

CDA conference

Last weekend I attended the dental conference in California, when the fun was over my mom and I headed to Riverside for some Ice cream. Why there you ask? Because this ice cream is frozen with liquid nitrogen while you watch.  It was the most amazing stuff I have ever tasted. Then when were were finished we went to an awesome kids book store and then home to run a short 5K.

What an exciting and fun weekend, filled with advice, happiness and dancing.

6WS

I Want My Weekends Back Now!

My weekends have been robbed my children who fight with each other all weekend. Then I get involved. Why I ask myself? I don't know, but it stops now. Because it serves no purpose.

Mailbox Thursday

Are your kids bored and you need a project for them to do. Well here's a great couple of art projects to keep their little hands busy.

Tadpole Pail:

Collecting a pail full of tadpoles has never been easier! Press a tadpole-shaped sponge in a shallow pan of green paint and then onto a silver poster board pail cutout. Repeat the process, adding paint as needed, until a desired effect is achieved. When the paint is dry, use a marker to add an eye to each tadpole; then attach a paper handle to the pail.

 Puff Painting:

Another Run

Well this weekend was my third race. I have been sick all week and I was very unsure how I would do. I was pleasentley surprised at my ability to keep up and do what needed to be done. I finished in 45 minutes. My goal over the next couple weeks will be to increase my ability to run three miles straight. There was more walking then normal but it didn't seem to inhibit my time. I'm not sure how these races and running is helping me lose weight, that seems to have stalled but I do feel better after I run and I'm enjoying the time I'm spending with my mom and my sister. Next, weekend we run the Firefly race. It is the same track we just ran so that will make it interesting. Not sure if that will help or hinder but I look forward to the challenge. Oh, and my sister is dying to do a mudathon so, it's time to start strength training to see what I'm really made of. Less chub and more muscle.

Easter Weekend

Well last weekend was another busy one and to say the least I didn't get an opportunity to post pictures from our Easter dinner. I didn't take a lot but here are the few I did take. The kids getting ready for the hunt and my chicks I made. First time every doing anything like that. I'm pretty proud of them. Hope everyone else's Easter was a great one.

6WS

Overcooked, Baked and Fried Oh My!

I have purchased Pampered Chef items and my cooking collection is beginning to come together. Only problem, no I want to cook but don't have the stuff in the house I want to cook. Guess it's time to visit the grocery store. Single cheese cake, chicken tortellini, mushroom and egg omelet, pistachio cake, broccoli cheese ring and a new favorite recipe I just found that I must try is a peanut butter and jelly brownie. Delicious. I however, will have to find some healthy recipes also, because my weight loss needs to kick into high gear before the summer season hits and 105 is the new normal.
