Mailbox Thursday

Roll a Rainbow:

Type: craft
Draw a rainbow on a sheet of paper. Dip the wheels of a toy vehicle in paint; then roll the vehicle along one arc, adding more paint to the wheels as needed. Continue with other vehicles and colors of paint for each remaining arc. To complete the project, glue a black pot cutout to one end of the rainbow. Then add gold glitter to the top of the pot so it resembles a pot of gold.

Neon Run

This weekend I enjoyed the Neon Run with my mom and my sister. I finished 3.50 miles in 45 minutes. I was really excited to finish my first official straight 5k. We had tons of fun.

I will be focusing on increasing my overall endurance this next five weeks. I was able to finish in good time, but I would like to run more and walk less. Have a great workout.

Macen meet

Last weekend we went to Tucson for the 8 and under state Championship. We had a ton of fun and Macen did really well. Big brother supported for awhile and then he headed home to enjoy air conditioner and t.v. with the grandparents.

Mailbox Thursday

project
This week Mailbox activities feature ways to help your little ones work out a problem while working on their communication skills.

Work It Out
Simple props are sometimes all it takes to help students solve a misunderstanding. Place two nonoperational cellular phones in a small basket. When a minor disagreement arises between two students, give each one a phone. Help them take turns using the phones to discuss the disagreement and the best way to solve it.

Work Out Wednesday

Need to purchase a treadmill, well maybe don't need to but want to. I want to run in the comfort of my home, so I've been searching through Craigslist trying to find a good deal on a treadmill.  Or a weighted hula-hoop. Crazy, right?
                             Well, it's the latest craze.

Our World Tuesday

Shopping for plants to get our back yard ready for the summer. Fruits and vegetables hopefully coming our way.

In My World Monday

This weekend despite some changes in plans we enjoyed some family time. My husband picked out some new plants and worked on the backyard. Saturday I enjoyed a baseball game with my sons, who didn't enjoy it as much as I did. But they sure enjoyed the food. Big Hot dogs and the American past time.

6WS

Family time pushed to the side

Well, I was lucky enough to come across some cheap baseball tickets and symphony tickets. During the game after we wait my kids were bored. And before the symphony today, my husband asked if we could shop for plants instead. I guess it wasn't a total waste of family time. Oh, well another day to hear the music.

Monday Morning Drive

On my way to work, early in the morning I was lucky enough to experience this beautiful scenery. I had my half asleep son snap the photo. It was early, but I sure felt lucky to catch this sunrise because I don't get up this early very often.  I also thought it would be a great addition to Pink Saturday. I didn't link up this weekend but if you have time you should pop over and see all of the beautiful pink.
